Our Current Chaos
DECEMBER 2022
What I’ve found most helpful in my journey of motherhood and career is when other moms peel back the curtain into what’s really going on in their homes. Despite the pretty photos on Instagram, all of our lives are absolutely chaotic as we try to figure out how to do life in this season.
So for better or worse, here’s an update on our family’s current chaos this past month:
We’ve been sick. All month. Runny noses, chest coughs, lots of saline spray. Just like every other family. This has meant that my work productivity has not been what I hoped it would be at the end of 2022. This has come with a lot of deep breathing and accepting my own limitations.
I visited my high school alma mater, Mount de Sales Academy, twice this past month! We attended holiday events and it’s been so nice to reconnect with that community since we moved back home in the Spring. You can peep Rosie running through the halls of MdeS below.
2023 planning has been in full swing this past month! I’ve been individually meeting with Claire (CEO, Ringlet) and Taryn (Co-President, CWIB) over the last two weeks to discuss how each business plans to grow in the 12 months. My amazing teams have some big things in store for next year!
We had a lovely Thanksgiving at my mother’s in November. It was the first time I could enjoy Thanksgiving dinner without pregnancy nausea in three years. It made me very happy. :)
Some fun shopping I’ve been eyeing for Christmas: this colorblock fleece, Supergoop sunscreen always, and this button down perfection.
